The Concept:
If backpackers are seen as people that wish
to explore other cultures and environments, then in a sense
they never stop travelling when they are in a hostel.
The hostel is an environment, where so many
people of so many different cultures cross paths under one
roof. To many of them, this is a big part of the experience
of travelling. Many are social and friendly. They enjoy getting
to know other people and even making new friends. They are
learning not only about the culture they are in the middle
of, but of other places and people from around the world.
In this sense, the hostel functions as
another vehicle of travel. Though they are in one place, the
world comes to them. Through their interaction with other
backpackers, the guest experience other customs, language,
experience, and stories. They live through each other and
for this reason, the Backpackers Hostel, should be seen as
a vehicle for their journey.
